“Let me sit here on the threshold of two worlds. Lost in the eloquence of Silence.”
~ Rumi
Silence is often thought of as the absence of sound, a kind of barely tolerable void, longed for only when the chaotic noise of the world becomes too much. Silence is often found to be uncomfortable, preferencing clever articulation over the desperate inward search for just the right words to say.
But to the mystic, silence is a companion presence—a living, creative experience of the heart that renews, restores, and capacitizes one to be with the internal and external world with loving equanimity and deep presence.
Inspired by Robert Sardello’s brilliant book by the same title, “Silence: The Mystery of Wholeness” in this series, we will delve deeply into the subtleties of silence, exploring the phenomenon as a source of wholeness and revitalization, awakening us to the inner currents of spirituality that ultimately lead to a path of universal compassion, service, and healing.
“Silence is powerful. It is a blooming period for a bud. It is a poetry for two lovers. It is a meditation for a saint. It is the enchanted portal to the answers you seek. May we all know the powerful sound of silence.”
~ Swati Singh
Drawing inspiration from the Taizé community in France, renowned for its ecumenical spirit, a Taizé is a contemplative service designed to create a vibrational vortex through a recurring pattern of inspired readings, sacred music, and silent meditation. This Sunday, we will immerse ourselves in the realm of sacred silence, integrating and centering ourselves in all that we have been exploring during this series.
Join us as we live inside of the large embrace of holosapience, the depths of mystical prayer, and the fullness within sacred emptiness. Together we will trace the through line from the unseen realm into the world of the material, seeing wholeness within each fractal and hearing the heartbeat of Silence in all manner of manifestation.
In a climate of great uncertainty, polarity of thinking and a crying out for healing on a global scale, our Sunday Experience offers the inspiring message that the fundamental nature of the Universe and all beings is Goodness and Love.
“Love is the energizing elixir of the Universe – the cause and effect of all Harmony”
~ Rumi
Our universal message honors the spiritual traditions while incorporating the teachings of leading age thinkers and philosophers.
