The awakening to our Christ identity can be seen as a kind of initiation, a deep transformational experience enhanced by intention and ritual. This Advent Season, we will embark on such a journey, incorporating the Burning Bowl, Communion, White Stone and Candle Lighting Ceremonies. Embraced in the potency of the season, we become the Christ, enfolding the world in love newly.

Coming Home: Finding Our Belonging As Love

As spiritual beings, our natural inclination is to feel at home within the freedom of the realm of Spirit – within a boundless existence outside of space and time. We realize inherently that we are assuming a myriad of restrictions coming to Earth – living within the boundaries of physical bodies and living within a paradigm of opposites: inside/outside; hot/cold; good/bad.

It is not a far stretch to assume that these individuated bodies are separate from every other thing. It is not a far stretch to assume that this is not our real home. Yet there is a fundamental invitation that underlies our primary purpose for being born – to come to know in our hearts that, in spite of appearances, we truly belong here.

Susan Harper tells us that the Earth is the lap of belonging. Every step we take affirms that we are indeed at home. We belong to the earth and every living being and they belong to us. Join us as we affirm this mutual indwelling. As an individuation of light we say to every other individuation of light – you can find a home in me. Together we are the lap of belonging for the world.

In a climate of great uncertainty, polarity of thinking and a crying out for healing on a global scale, our Sunday Experience offers the inspiring message that the fundamental nature of the Universe and all beings is Goodness and Love.
