How Big Is Your “We”?

Mycelia are all about symbiotic relationships and connection. Merlin Sheldrake refers to them as the “ecological connective tissue” of the planet, an ecology that consists of unlikely pairings, interkingdom partnerships and cross species collaborations. The arrow of evolution points not to a gladiator show where the swiftest, the strongest and the cunningest live to fight another day, but instead to this “intimacy of strangers” kind of cooperation. The greater the diversity, the greater the leap forward in evolution.
